Redemptio
Privacy policy
Effective October 4, 2026 · Redemptio for iOS and iPadOS
This policy describes the current Redemptio game and this support website. Rodrigo Sandler manages support and privacy inquiries at rodrigoqsandler@gmail.com. Redemptio has no player account or developer-operated game-data server.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your chosen player name, avatar and gender selection, tutorial progress, rescued and discovered species, dietary knowledge, experience, upgrades, sanctuary habitats, resource balances, baskets, and gameplay timestamps on your device. These values let you resume your game. They are not sent to a developer server. Device backups may include local preferences; the app does not provide its own cloud sync.
Optional Apple Health access
If you authorize it, Redemptio reads step counts from Apple Health to reward walking with in-game Seeds and experience. The app also stores local counters and synchronization dates to avoid awarding the same steps twice. It does not write Health records or send step counts to the developer, map providers, weather providers, advertisers, or analytics services. You can decline or revoke access and continue playing. Apple manages the original Health records separately from Redemptio.
Optional location access
While the app is in use, location helps position the map, create nearby encounters, and request local weather. Redemptio does not save a location history in its game saves. Weather requests can transmit precise latitude and longitude. Map requests reveal the map region being viewed, which may correspond to your location. If permission is denied, the game can use a demonstration map location. Approximate location can reduce precision.
Map, weather, and network services
Requests go to Apple Weather through WeatherKit, Open-Meteo when used as a weather fallback, and OpenFreeMap for map tiles and related assets. Internet requests expose an IP address and technical request information to the receiving provider. Health counts, player names, and sanctuary saves are not included in these requests.
- Open-Meteo describes coordinate-containing request logs retained for up to 90 days.
- OpenFreeMap describes anonymized routine logs and limited IP retention for errors and security incidents.
- Apple processes WeatherKit requests under its applicable privacy policies.
Providers may process information outside your country under their own policies. Network services use data to deliver maps and weather, diagnose technical issues, and maintain security. Redemptio does not use advertising, cross-app tracking, or an analytics SDK, and does not sell personal data.
Support requests and this website
If you email support, your email address, message, and any information you choose to include are used to answer your request. Please do not send Health records, passwords, or unnecessary location details. Messages are retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations, and you may request deletion. Email providers process message delivery. This website has no added advertising, analytics, forms, or tracking scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub processes network information under the GitHub privacy statement.
Retention and deletion
Local saves remain until removed from the device. Deleting the app removes its current local container; offloading the app keeps its data. Copies in device backups and original Apple Health records are managed separately. Provider logs follow provider retention policies. See privacy choices and deletion instructions.
Permissions and your rights
You control Health and location permissions in iOS settings. Optional permission-based features use your authorization; support processing responds to requests you make, and technical processing supports delivery and security. Where applicable, you may exercise access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, or other rights under laws such as Brazil’s LGPD or the GDPR by contacting rodrigoqsandler@gmail.com. We can address data within our control and help identify the provider responsible for other data. You may also contact your relevant data protection authority.
Families and changes
The game has no chat, public profiles, or player accounts. Parents and guardians should supervise permission choices and outdoor play. Contact us with any concern about a child’s information. Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised effective date; practices that change will be reflected in the policy and store disclosures.
